Because of powers They posses, They are known as divine beings comparing Them with the Gods. The Genius is a godlike Will, and connects each person to own destiny. After coming of Christianization, the older term of this god-like Spiritus became a synonym for lower gods as synonim for evil. Another explaination tells us They are the souls of the Dead, a patronized Genius, mediators between Immortal gods and the Livings, an anchor between the Worlds.
Every person has the Genius within, acting as a 'secret' agent by the echoes of intuition rather then thru reasoning. Daemon is afflatus of Inner world, reigns within it's burning Fire of the passion for the Self.
In habitual norms, they symbolize the Enlightenment, enabling to see further, clearer and deeper into the Things thus no arguments can afflict vision of an Individual.
Daemonic mind is crossing the borders in a pathways of transcedental Light, related to cognitions and to the Venture.

In many traditions (unless they were connected to evil and negativity) inner Daemon is a symbol of one's higher conciousness, thus is holding the connection with the role of guardian Angel.
According to the Indonesian tradition, the world is made of visible and unvisible Beings, made of transparent stuffs (plants have souls, spirits of animals are born into humans, spirits of human are born into an animal) and made of Daemons fullfilling seven depths of the Underworld, where gods and nymphs reign in the depths of seven paradises which are aligned one above another. All those beings exists in the seven levels while encountered in solely human Being; as a microcosm in macrocosm (et vice versa), yet blending together in gurgitation and polymorphic unity. |
According to Christian demonology, Daemons are angels who betrayed their own Nature, not even of good nor evil kind.
If Daemons are evil, they would not come from the source of 'good', thus they would not be included in the order of Beings. If their nature is evil, how would be possible they are separated from the order of Angels then....
